Sell it with usOffered for auction by a private collector, this Richard Mille RM029 was purchased by the vendor from Harrods London. This particular example recently had a full service and restoration at the cost of £4,500. Complete with its display box and paperwork, the seller notes that it has not been worn since it came back from service, bringing it within the seller’s ‘A’ grading.
Taking inspiration from the all-time classic RM010, this Boutique edition Richard Mille features the iconic tonneau-shaped case with skeletonized movement and sapphire dial. Constructed from titanium, the watch is extremely light and durable. With ergonomics in mind, the oversized date sits at 4 o’clock with graphic design accents. Powering the watch is the calibre RMAS7 which is mounted on chassis mounting rubbers, fixed by 4 titanium screws. By not fixing the movement to the case, the watch achieves higher levels of shock absorption. The process of skeletonizing the dial took more than 10 months to finalise, and that is reflected by the level of finishing seen here. Enhancing the wearability of the watch is a black velcro strap offering maximum comfort.
Richard Mille is known for building its watches according to extremely rigorous specifications and creating its own codes of Haute Horlogerie along the way. This Richard Mille RM 029 All-Grey ‘Yellow Flash’ was a boutique edition only available in Geneva, Paris, London, Abu Dhabiand Dubai.
