It’s been nearly 50 years since the creation of the original Audemars Piguet Royal Oak, and this cult piece is more popular than ever. The Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Extra-Thin ‘Jumbo’ reference 15202ST.OO.1240ST.01 was released in 2012 to celebrate the model’s 40th anniversary.

Taking its design cues from early examples, it displays the applied ‘AP’ logo at 6 o’clock, atop the trademark blue ‘tapisserie’ pattern dial, and comes in a classically sized 39mm case. Remaining faithful to its sporty personality, the hands and indices are filled with Super-LumiNova - providing superior legibility in all conditions.

At its heart, the AP calibre 2121 is still one of the thinnest full-rotor self-winding movements in the world, and it is considered by many as one of the most refined and technically impressive automatic wristwatch movements ever.

This Audemars Piguet 15202ST comes with its box, paperwork (dated 2013) and manuals. The case and bracelet are excellently finished, with angular, beveled, polished and granular surfaces. There are some moderate signs of wear to the bezel, case and bracelet. The watch complies with the seller’s A grading.

All watches offered for sale are searched and cleared against The Watch Register database and a certificate is available to the winning bidder upon request.

The description of this auction lot is, to the best of the seller's knowledge, accurate and not misleading.
