This 2012 Rolex Submariner ‘Bluesy’ in gold is offered for auction from a private collector. The watch is accompanied by the box, warranty card and full service receipt from late 2021. Presented without any significant marks or dents, the watch appears to be consistent with the seller’s ‘A’ grading.

The ref. 116618LB we see here represents the ultimate in luxuriousness amongst the Submariner family, with its eye-catching solid gold construction delivering maximum wrist presence. Despite all of its opulence and precious metal construction, the watch still has genuine utility, with its 300m waterproofness and rotating dive bezel with a scratch-resistant Cerachrom insert. The large yellow gold indices and hands are filled with Rolex’s proprietary ‘’Chromalight’’ luminescence for superior legibility.

Attached to the case is a solid yellow gold Oyster bracelet with polished centre links. The clasp incorporates a Glide lock extension system- providing the wearer with 20mm of tool-free adjustment. Powering the watch is Rolex’s calibre 3135 movement, which features a 48-hour power reserve, Chronometer certification, and is tested after casing to a tolerance of +2 to -2 seconds per day.
