Sell it with usThis 2008 Rolex Yacht-Master II is offered by a private collector. The auction includes box, booklets, warranty card, suede pouch and spare bracelet link. The watch was serviced in September of 2021 at a cost of £1280, the photos show some signs of wear to the case, bringing it within the seller’s ‘A’ grading.
The Yacht-Master II is an interesting reference within the Rolex catalogue, offering one of the company’s most complicated movements inside one of its largest cases. As a watch that already makes a statement at 44mm in diameter, this example delivers even more wrist presence with its 18K yellow gold case and Oyster bracelet.
The standout technical feature is the programmable countdown timer designed for regatta sailing. It’s controlled via the “ring command” bezel which is made from yellow gold with a “Cerachrom” ceramic cap. Powering the watch is calibre 4161, which offers a 72-hour power reserve and is COSC certified.
All watches offered for sale are searched and cleared against The Watch Register database and a certificate is available to the winning bidder upon request.
