• Patek Philippe launched the Aquanaut back in 1997, and while its design was inspired by the Nautilus, it’s become a legend in its own right
• This ref. 5165A debuted in 2007 to celebrate the model’s 10th anniversary and was only in production for five years before being discontinued
• his rare and short-lived reference features the same dial design as the newer ref. 5167, but with the more versatile 38mm dimensions of the ref. 5065, delivering an appealing blend of features from older and more contemporary iterations
• The watch is finished in steel and features a black dial and composite rubber strap, both with a distinctive geosphere pattern
• This 2008 example is offered by a UK-based private seller and presented with a Patek Philippe travel pouch 
• The watch was serviced in 2022 by Patek Philippe and the service documents are provided as part of the lot
• Graded ‘AA’ for condition by the vendor who reports the watch to be in good working order, and confirms it has not been worn since its last service
• This watch is being managed by Watch Collecting for the duration of the auction and is being held in a secure third-party facility. Watch Collecting will release the watch to the successful bidder after the vendor confirms they have received payment.
