SUMMARY

With its bi-metal finish, this 2005 Rolex Yacht-Master is very much a modern classic interpretation of The Crown's much-loved sports watch. Launched in 1992 as a more relaxed version of the Submariner, the Yacht-Master has been a staple in the Rolex line-up for the last 30 years. This particular piece is forged largely from stainless steel, yet it wears a bi-directional, media-blasted platinum bezel with raised and polished Arabic numerals and bevels. The silver sunburst dial is a further source of visual interest thanks to its contrasting red 'Yacht-Master' scripture and sweeping seconds hand. Beneath the screw-down rear case back beats Rolex's venerable 3135 calibre, an automatic movement highly regarded for its reliability and accuracy.

All watches offered for sale are searched and cleared against The Watch Register database and a certificate is available to the winning bidder upon request.

Any watch not covered by a current sales or service warranty should be considered as potentially requiring a service, even if in full working order on the date of purchase.

The description of this auction lot is, to the best of the seller's knowledge, accurate and not misleading. Watch Collecting requests a range of detail about the lot from the seller, and performs a level of due diligence. However, bidders must satisfy themselves as to the accuracy of the description, and conduct any research they feel is necessary before committing to a bid.
