ABOUT THIS WATCH

  • Considered by many to be the Rolex Submariner in its purest form thanks to the classically-styled 40mm case, and absence of a date window, the reference 14060 is amongst the last 'pre-ceramic' versions of the world’s most iconic dive watch
  • Released in the late '80s to replace the outgoing and long-running ref. 5513, production for this long-running reference lasted until 2010
  • Thanks to its perfect blend of classic looks and modern construction, the 14060, with its ‘two line’ dial, has become a much sought-after reference within the Submariner family
  • The watch maintains its utilitarian credentials, with an Oyster case and screw-down trip-lock crown providing 300m of waterproofness
  • The 14060 was powered by two different movements over its life cycle, with this particular example housing the updated calibre 3130
  • This automatic movement is equipped with a 48-hour power reserve
