Following the curvaceous styles, popularised in the 1930s by Count Alexis de Sakhnoffsky, Franck Muller’s watch cases have become instantly recognisable design classics. This white gold Cintrée Curvex is both glamorous and fun in equal measure.

Standing out from the horology crowd can be a challenge. But with a Frank Muller Cintrée Curvex, its iconic shape and distinctive silhouette offers something different and a little bit daring to those brave enough to tread their own path. Much like the enterprising Mr Frank Muller himself.

Featuring a 43mm x 30mm contoured and beautifully curved white gold case with domed sapphire glass, this watch is out of the ordinary and refined in equal measure. Its silver textured dial and quirky Arabic Numerals make for a unique, engaging dial experience.

Complex to produce, the dial must be perfectly curved to follow the shape of the Curvex case, while still deploying the best guilloche, printing quality and precision. On this example, that has undoubtedly been achieved with the utmost care.

Powered by a Quartz movement, the watch is accurate, reliable, long lasting, and inexpensive to maintain once its battery life comes to an end. Secured by an eggshell blue alligator-leather strap, the watch sits comfortably on the wrist, with the case curvature adding to the ergonomic feel.

Available here with its original box, this 2852 QZ ‘Relief’ from the 2000’s is in good condition for a worn piece, with only slight scratching and marking on the case back along with some slight wear and tear on the strap itself. Original papers are also available.

All watches offered for sale are searched and cleared against The Watch Register database and a certificate is available to the winning bidder upon request.

The description of this auction lot is, to the best of the seller's knowledge, accurate and not misleading.
