Sell it with usOffered for auction from a private collector, this Rolex Sea-Dweller is accompanied by the Rolex pouch and invoice from Rolex Service Centre confirming a full service. Presented with a small scratch on the side of the bracelet clasp the seller notes the rest of the watch is in very good condition with very little signed of wear, it appears to be consistent with the seller’s ‘A’ grading.
The ref. 16600 represents the final chapter for the classic ‘five-digit’ Sea-Dwellers and strikes the perfect balance between modern construction and vintage design cues. The 40mm stainless steel case has a trip lock crown and helium escape valve, affording a mammoth 4,000-feet of waterproofness. The uni-directional bezel has an aluminium insert; the last time Rolex would use this on a Sea-Dweller before switching to ceramic. Applied markers and hands are made from 18K white gold, and a date aperture with the notably absent date cyclops is positioned at 3 o’clock.
Attached to the case is a satin-finished Oyster bracelet with an Oysterlock clasp and diver’s extension. The watch is powered by the tried and tested calibre 3135, which has a 48-hour power reserve and is Chronometer certified.
The Sea-Dweller is Rolex’s most hardcore dive watch and embodies the company’s quest for technical excellence.
All watches offered for sale are searched and cleared against The Watch Register database and a certificate is available to the winning bidder upon request.
