Sell it with usThis one-owner Submariner ref. 16613 was purchased new by the vendor from a Rolex authorised dealer in 1998. The watch is accompanied by the display box, outer box, warranty papers, sleeve, calendar card, booklet and a spare link. The vendor advises the watch is in good working order and has graded it ‘A’ for condition. The images appear consistent with that assessment, showing some light scratches on the case and bezel commensurate with age and regular wear.
This watch is being managed by Watch Collecting for the duration of the auction and is being held in a secure third-party facility. Watch Collecting will release the watch to the successful bidder after the vendor confirms they have received payment.
This reference 16613 is finished in a handsome combination of blue and two-tone and offers a luxurious feel to this rugged and robust tool watch. The dial has a striking electric blue finish which is complemented by the blue aluminium bezel insert. Yellow gold has been used to craft the hour markers and hands with gilt-style script pairing nicely with gold’s warm tones. Housed inside the 300m waterproof case is the tried and tested calibre 3135. This automatic movement is chronometer-certified with a 48-hour power reserve.
Introduced in 1954, the Rolex Submariner is still in production and is one of the most popular models produced by the legendary Swiss watchmaker. With a combination of stainless steel and yellow gold contrasted against a blue dial, this timepiece would make a worthy addition to any watch enthusiast's collection.
