Offered for sale as a one owner watch, this Datejust from the late 80s. The sale includes the original purchase receipt, Rolex booklets, swing tags, presentation and outer box, as well as the service guarantee from January 2022. The watch doesn’t show any notable marks or scratches following the service, and its condition appears to be within the bounds of the seller’s ‘A’ grading.

The reference 16030 we see here features the elegant yet versatile 36mm stainless steel case. Along with the Jubilee bracelet and engine-turned bezel, it exudes a sense of luxury like no other watch in its category. The dial, finished in blue, gives the watch a contemporary feel and pairs nicely with the stainless steel construction. Powering the watch is the Rolex calibre 3035, with 48 hours of power reserve and the first movement with quick-set capabilities, allowing for the date to be instantly changed.

One of the few watches that can be enjoyed as a dressy option just as much as a genuine sports watch, the Datejust has been a staple in Rolex’s catalogue since 1945.
