Few watches combine history, versatile style and quality watchmaking like the Datejust. A model that seamlessly crosses over from dressy to sporty, it’s been a staple in Rolex’s catalogue since 1945. This ref. 68278 exhibits all of the features that make this model line so popular but adds additional desirability, not only through its full yellow gold construction but also the incorporation of a President bracelet.

Available only in precious metals and usually reserved for Rolex’s more upscale Day Date line, it was rarely available on Datejust references. With its handsome three-link design and concealed clasp, it provides an ergonomic fit on the wrist. The watch is powered by Rolex’s in-house 2135 calibre, which features a 42-hour power reserve and Chronometer certification.

This example is presented in fair condition with wear commensurate with age and regular wear. No box or papers are included but the owner has provided a purchase receipt from 1996 when it was purchased pre-owned.
