SUMMARY

The 1675 GMT-Master was in production from 1959 to 1980, making it one of the longest-running Rolex references in the brand’s history. Many changes were introduced over the watch’s lifespan, including a number of notable dial variations, such as the ‘Mark II’ seen in this example. Produced from 1972-75 with some more examples appearing in the late 70s, the watches are defined by their matte black dials and the thick bold font used for the Rolex script. The watch shows an even and charming patina on both the hands and hour markers, with a faded ‘Pepsi’ bezel offering plenty of character. Housed underneath the screw-down caseback is the in-house calibre 1570, which has automatic winding, chronometer certification, and a 48-hour power reserve. Attached to the case is an Oyster bracelet.
