SUMMARY
The reference 1675 GMT-Master was in production from 1959 to 1980, making it one of the longest-running Rolex models. Many changes were introduced over the watch’s lifespan, including a number of notable dial variations. This example from the late 60s features a matte black ‘Long E’ dial - referring to the letter ‘E’ having a centre bar equal in length to the top and bottom legs. Also known as the ‘Mark 1’, this was regarded as the first matte dial GMT-Master until a ‘Mark O’ from the earlier gilt era was recognized. This generation was also the first in this iconic model line to feature the large 24-hour hand triangular tip.
All watches offered for sale are searched and cleared against The Watch Register database and a certificate is available to the winning bidder upon request.
