Own a similar Patek Philippe?
Sell it with usWith an elegant 35mm case and distinctive ‘teardrop’ lugs, the Patek Philippe ref. 1509 has the style of the 1940s but is very wearable by contemporary standards. First sold in 1947, this watch is the rarer rose-gold version with slim rose-gold hands and the alternating Arabic numerals and dotted minute track typical of this model. Inside is the 18 jewel, manual wind calibre 12”-120. The crown is the original, earlier, unsigned type correct for this reference.
The watch case is in excellent vintage condition with sharp defined edges to the lugs and little evidence of polishing. The hallmark remains clearly visible to the underside of the lugs. The dial is in original, unrestored condition. While it may benefit from a gentle clean, the original printing is clear and complete. The movement is clean and appears in good condition. The watch is offered on a non-Patek Philippe strap with gilt buckle, a later Patek Philippe box which has an aged interior and an extract from the Patek Philippe archives.
All watches offered for sale are searched and cleared against The Watch Register database and a certificate is available to the winning bidder upon request.
